Day 3 : Lima

Originally named the City of the Kings, Lima is rich in heritage. Start at the archaeological site of Huaca Pucllana before discovering the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre. Enjoy lunch and then explore the Bohemian district of Barranco, popular with Latin American artists. Conclude the day with a Pisco Sour Tasting experience followed by dinner.
Day 4 : To The Sacred Valley

Fly from Lima to Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley. En route, visit Ccaccaccollo, a remote village and home to over 50 families, some of whom we will meet today.
Day 5 : Pisac Market
Location: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes

Today visit the colourful market of Pisac and archaeological site. Continue to Potato Park which is a community led conservation project where approximately 2,300 to 4,000 known potato varieties of the world are grown. Then explore the ruins of Ollantaytambo before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes.
Day 6 : Machu Picchu
Location: Machu Picchu, Cusco

This morning, you will ascend to the magnificent ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. Long abandoned by the Inca, Machu Picchu came to international attention when it was stumbled upon by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and is now considered one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Take the train back to Poroy and transfer to Cusco.
Day 7 : Cusco

Discover Cusco, home to an incredible Incan legacy, with a morning city tour taking in the Temple of the Sun and other ancient ruins. Also visit the Inca fortress site Sacsayhuaman, which sits on a hill above Cusco.
Day 8 : Travel To Puno

Take the Titicaca train across the Andean altiplano from Cusco to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The train boasts dining cars, a bar car and an observation car.
Day 9 : Lake Titicaca

Journey by boat across Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of Uros, which are constructed entirely from reeds. Spend time exploring and meeting the local Uros people before continuing to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taquile. Once a stronghold of the Inca, you'll find wonderful textiles here. After your tour of the island, head back to Puno.
Day 10 : Sillustani And Lima

En route to the airport visit the archaeological site of Sillustani, located on a protected island reserve. Spend time around the site and enjoy a typical Andean lunch. Fly to Lima and stay overnight.

Day Trip To Uruguay

Enjoy a day trip to Uruguay, taking a ferry across the Rio de La Plata to Colonia del Sacramento. A picture-perfect colonial town, Colonia was founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful Barrio Historico, which occupies a small peninsula that juts out into the river, is a maze of old cobbled streets that are a delight to wander. Admire the main square, see the ruins of San Francisco Church and visit the lighthouse amongst much more.
Day 14 : The Pampas
Location: Buenos Aires

Spend the day just outside the city on the vast, fertile grasslands known as the pampas, on a traditional estancia (ranch). Here you'll get some insight into the life of a gaucho, and after a typical Argentinian asado lunch, there will be a fun folklore show.
Day 15 : Puerto Iguazu

Say farewell to Buenos Aires and board a plane over to Puerto Iguazu, the town closest to the incredible natural wonder that is Iguazu Falls. Spend the afternoon at leisure.

On the border of Argentina and Brazil, Iguazu is the largest waterfall system in the world, with hundreds of cascades pouring off the edge of the Parana Plateau. Today you will wander along the Argentinian side of Iguazu, which offers a fantastic overview of the whole of the falls and showcases its power and magnificence. This afternoon, learn about the indigenous culture of the Mbororé Aldea people, who open the doors of their community and share fascinating stories of their ancestors, rituals, myths and legends.
Day 17 : Fly To Rio De Janeiro

Enjoy your morning on the Brazilian side of the falls - this side offers a completely different experience with paths and boardwalks to wander. These will lead you to some numerous smaller cascades that dance their way along gullies and through lush greenery. In the afternoon, hop on a plane to Brazil's 'Cidade Maravilhosa', Rio de Janeiro, where you can enjoy sunset on the world-famous Copacabana Beach.
Day 18 : Christ The Redeemer
Location: Rio de Janeiro

Clamber into a jeep to venture to some of Rio's many wonders! Starting at the foot of Corcovado, travel up to the peak by cog railway to the spot where the iconic Christ the Redeemer watches over the city. Next, wander through the tropical Tijuca Forest, a rainforest in the heart of the city, before exploring the Bohemian neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, and enjoying a traditional Brazilian BBQ lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, we will endeavour to make these changes, but it may not always be possible. Any changes to confirmed bookings need to be sent to us in writing via your travel agent. Please refer to our booking conditions for further information and fees.

Do you operate a “single share” option and how does it work?
Customers booking to travel solo can choose our ‘Happy to Share’ option, which may enable them to share a twin room with other solo customers of the same gender who also request Happy to Share, thus avoiding the need to pay single room supplements. Note that ‘Happy to Share’ requests can be received when you make your booking with us but will not be confirmed until your final payment due date.

What documents will I receive before I travel?
Your Final Travel Documents are usually sent to you 2-3 weeks prior to your departure. Your travel pack will include your tour itinerary, hotel details, flight e-tickets and a travel guide. If you have booked with a travel agent, your tickets will be dispatched to your travel agent unless we have been otherwise informed.

Will I be travelling with passengers from other countries?
Our passengers generally enjoy the mixture of British, Australian and American clients on tour. Occasionally we are joined by English-speaking passengers from other countries.

Do you allow children on your tours?
We allow children 12 years and over on our group tours. We recommend that families with children of any age take advantage of our private or tailormade tours. This will give you more flexibility while on tour.

At 74 days before tour starts: Forfeit 30% of booking price.
At 41 days before tour starts: Forfeit 60% of booking price.

How we Keep you safe on our Tours
Your safety and well-being will always be our Number 1 priority which is why we’ve instituted the most stringent COVID health and safety protocols on all of our tours. Here is a brief summary of the steps we are taking to ensure you will be safe, secure and satisfied when you travel with us.
Guides and National Escorts
Our National Escorts and guides will conduct a Health and Safety briefing with you before the tour begins and will help everyone ensure they adhere to social distancing, hygiene practises and local regulations. They will carry a supply of face masks and hand sanitiser for you to use free of charge and will, of course, observe the highest level of personal hygiene at all times.
Should anyone on the group fall ill your National Escort will ensure the individual receives swift medical attention and can only return to the group once cleared to do so.
Transport & Sightseeing
Vehicles will be thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant after each excursion service, overnight and between different groups.
You will always have at least one seat between you and your fellow tourers, hand sanitiser will be given to the group on each embarkation and vehicles will be thoroughly ventilated prior to passengers boarding.
Drivers will always embark vehicles after clients, disembark the group vehicle prior to clients disembarking, and maintain social distancing and a high level of personal hygiene at all times.
Your guides will assess the situation on the ground avoiding large crowds – where possible, alter timings and splitting the group into smaller sizes.
Accommodation
Wendy Wu Tours will only offer hotels that have undergone a detailed hygiene assessment, have specific COVID-19 protocols in place and comply with government standards.
We will ensure these protocols include staff practising social distancing and wearing appropriate PPI, regular cleaning and disinfection of high frequency touch points in all areas and food safety.
Dining
All the restaurants we visit will be researched and inspected regularly to ensure that they follow the strictest health, cleanliness and safety guidelines.
All waiting staff will wear face masks and gloves and we will arrange à la carte dining, waiter-served meals or waiter-assisted buffets throughout the tour. We will not share open-buffet meals with other hotel or restaurant guests.
Hand sanitiser will be provided to the group before and after every food and beverage service.
