"Most of the cities in India are dirty and not clean but I was fascinated by Udaipur! It's surrounded by lakes and mountains and the city is clean."

"Volunteering with stray dogs in Udaipur (at Support Strays Udaipur)."

"Arambol and Qerim Beach in North Goa!"

"Paneer Butter Masala, Dum Aloo and Cashew Curry. For drinks: Masala Chai Top Tip: Follow a vegetarian diet here to avoid sickness - worked out for me too!"

"Varanasi - I felt joyousness, disbelief, amazement, shock, sadness and a sense of connection that I couldn’t possibly explain. A city where life and death are infamously intertwined for all to see."

"Staying in a good hotel is a must in Agra. The city is notoriously crowded and overloaded with trash, a retreat to a beautiful hotel with a nice pool gives you a break from the craziness that is Agra."

"Avoid monsoons in Mumbai. The best season to experience Mumbai life is from November to March, or during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi and Diwali."

"Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur decorated the whole city in romantic dusky hues of pink to greet the Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria. Since then, Jaipur has been declared as the Pink City."

"Bapu Bazaar and Johri Bazaar are the best places to shop for traditional items. You can bargain a lot over here. Don’t fall for rickshaw scams and go to a place they recommend. "

"The original name of the territory, Putucceri, is derived from the Tamil words putu “new" and ceri “village". The French corrupted this to Pondichéry. Or Pondicherry in English. "
Favourite time of year to visit Puducherry
"Weather-wise it’s great to visit between October and March. The monsoon is between July -September and the town can receive some heavy rainfall. "
