"The city centre of the small town of Jardín is very picturesque. It's the only city in Colombia which has such a cosy main square with a lot of terraces to enjoy a drink or dinner."

"As you can imagine this is an adrenaline activity that is SO fun and exciting. The 64km cycle from an altitude of 4600m above sea level to 1200m."

"You DEFINITELY need a tour guide for this activity. A lot of things can happen to your bike when cycling down so it's so important to have the van ready to help you if needed!"

What are your top tips for this activity?

"Make sure to wear your helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and protective clothing. Towards the end when it gets super hot you can take the jacket off but still wear your pads and helmet."

"Watching the sunrise from 6088m above sea level was incredible. It made the trek so worth it!"

How difficult was the trek?

"The trek was definitely difficult at times and it was a tough mental battle but it was so worth it! I would recommend acclimatising before starting this trek to give you the best chance."

"I took the train from Wanchaq (Cusco) to Aguas Caliente. I enjoyed the natural scenery as I journeyed through the lush valleys and past rugged peaks, following the course of the Urubamba River."
