Exploring Base Camp is the best part of climbing Everest. The base camp offers a great view of the mountains on all sides. It's a transitional yet beautiful place to be. Base camp is located at 17,600 feet, and consists of a series of primitive campsites called Advanced Base Camp (ABC), North Col, and South Col. ABC is the highest camp on Mount Everest that serves as an advanced launchpad for summit bids.
