Through our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences, we ensure the communities we visit and the experiences we provide our guests genuinely work towards cultural preservation, by advancing UN Global Goals 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

In addition, our TreadRight Foundation continues to provide long-standing support to initiatives around the world which uphold cultures and traditions, while helping these organizations see the true benefit of the visitor economy. Examples include the Cristina Heeren Foundation of Flamenco Art, preserving the art of flamenco in Spain; the Centre de Textiles Tradicionales Del Cusco, preserving the ancient weaving tradition in Peru; and the Laboratorio Giuditta Brozzetti, one of the few remaining traditional frame hand weaving workshops in Italy.

As well, there are many developing regions that stand to benefit greatly from the visitor economy, and our goal to increase itineraries visiting developing regions focuses on ensuring the benefits of tourism are spread beyond tourist hubs. This ensures travel’s positive impact but also helps us provide unique and unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Reducing the environmental impact of our business isn’t just a “nice-to-have” for us, it’s at the core of all that we do. Our 5-year sustainability strategy How We Tread Right is comprised of 11 measurable goals designed to address the impact of our business and trips, the first of which is to reach net zero GHG emissions by 2050. Decarbonization is our first priority.

In 2022, we launched our industry-first Carbon Fund, that will support the decarbonization of our business, and became the first global tour operator to have all three near-term, long-term and net zero targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. This is all backed by our Climate Action Plan,

In addition, our TreadRight Foundation, which supports sustainable tourism projects worldwide, has transitioned to prioritize nature-based solutions which work for and with nature to address climate change.

Our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences are immersive impact experiences designed to benefit a destination, educate our travelers, and advance the United Nations Global Goals. They’re chosen with great care and assessed against a robust set of qualifying criteria. As part of our 5-year sustainability strategy, our goal is to include at least one MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience across 50% of our itineraries by 2025.

Increasing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within our business and through our trips is also a priority for us. We work towards this through our formal DEI strategy, the projects we support through TreadRight, and the trips we provide our guests including Pride and Women-Only trips.

Our approach to travel wellbeing protocol, gives you the peace of mind to enjoy your trip, knowing you are in good hands.

Costsaver collaborated with the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to align and create global protocols and procedures which have been awarded the WTTC Safe stamp. This coupled with existing national and regional government authority regulations and the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, have produced our enhanced, on-trip standards to assure the health and happiness of our guests.

Vaccination Policy: Vaccination against Covid-19 is not mandatory to travel with Costsaver. However, we strongly recommend that guests are vaccinated before travelling.

Please note that airlines and/or other authorities may have different requirements. It is the guest's responsibility to comply with these requirements at all times. No refunds will be given if guests are unable to undertake some or all of their vacation due to their failure to comply with these requirements. ....less
