Day 1 : Depart London, Arrive Vancouver

Fly to Vancouver where you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Meet your Tour Director and fellow guests during a Welcome Reception this evening.
Day 2 : Vancouver, Embark Ship
Location: Vancouver
Accommodation Name: Seven Nights, Holland America Line in an Ocean View Stateroom
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, board your premium cruise ship. Settle into your cabin and enjoy dinner this evening.
Day 3 : Inside Passage
Location: Vancouver
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Relax and take in the scenery as your ship journeys past rocky headlands and glides through the Inside Passage. You’ll also have plenty of time to explore the array of onboard facilities available.
Day 4 : Ketchikan
Location: Vancouver

This morning after breakfast, you will arrive in the beautiful Alaskan town of Ketchikan, the salmon capital of the world, renowned for its idyllic scenery and rich Alaska Native culture. Here, you will have free time to relax and explore at your leisure.
Day 5 : Juneau
Location: Vancouver
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today your journey brings you to the Alaskan capital of Juneau. Perhaps make your way to the town and explore the rustic shops located here. Alternatively, consider joining a dog sled ride over a glacier, sampling delicious salmon baked over a fire, or try panning for gold in this former gold rush town (all at own expense).
Day 6 : Skagway
Location: Vancouver

Today you’ll dock at the port of Skagway, which was once a frontier town and gateway to the Klondike. Here you’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about gold prospecting or view some of the local wildlife (own expense).
Day 7 : Glacier Bay National Park

Wake to the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park and discover why the area has received World Heritage status. Gain a more detailed insight into the unique nature of this national park as local rangers join you on board to talk about this region.
Day At Sea
Location: Vancouver

Today marks your final day on board. Spend time cruising north through the open water of the Gulf of Alaska, enjoying the fresh ocean air and endless horizon. Relax on board and make the most of your ship’s premium facilities.
Day 9 : Disembark Ship, Whittier, Anchorage
Location: Vancouver
Accommodation Name: Sheraton Anchorage
Meals Included: Breakfast
After a final breakfast on board, you will disembark in the Alaskan city of Whittier. From here, travel to Anchorage via the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre.
Day 10 : Anchorage, Denali

Journey through Alaska’s stunning wilderness on today’s Insider Experience. This evening, enjoy a hearty meal at Karstens Restaurant.
Day 11 : Denali National Park

On today’s Insider Experience, enjoy discovering the work of wildlife biologists and learn why conservation is so paramount to this part of Alaska.
Day 12 : Denali, Fairbanks
Location: Vancouver

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Get a feel for Fairbanks life today as you cruise the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler. You’ll be transported into the Alaskan wilderness and go ashore for a tour through a replica of a Native Alaskan Athabaskan village. Enjoy a leisurely tour of the river, seeing local wildlife along the way. This evening, join a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 13 : Depart Fairbanks
Location: Vancouver

Your incredible journey of Alaska comes to an end today. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
Day 14 : Arrive London

What if I have special dietary requirements?
Please ensure you advise APT during your booking process if you or any of your travelling companions have special dietary needs or requests. We aim to cater for all requests which are advised at the time of making your booking.

What documents will I receive before I travel?
Travel Documents are sent to you 2-3 weeks prior to your departure. Certain information may be required to help finalise your booking.

What are Freedom of Choice Touring options?
For APT tour programs, you may have the opportunity to select a Freedom of Choice Touring activity. These options are at no additional cost, and confirmed whilst on tour. The Tour Directors will guide you through all of the available options, and assist with booking these for those who are interested. Your brochure or our website will feature Freedom of Choice options for some tours - where applicable. Should time permit, passengers may be given the opportunity to experience a second option by purchasing that option.

Where do I join the tour?
Most of our itineraries commence with a transfer from the airport, or a meet and greet on Day 1. There may be times recommended for you to fly, which your Sales consultant will provide you. If you choose to fly in a few days prior to your tour commencing and explore independently you will be advised of a time and location to meet the tour group. If booking pre tour accommodation with APT on an exclusive APT tour itinerary, you will receive both a transfer from the airport and on Day 1 of the tour to join your fellow guests. For Europe River cruises, the vessels are available for early boarding upon your arrival. Luggage can be stored at reception, and passengers have access to the main lounge. Cabin check in is available from 3pm.

How do I advise of Health/Mobility Requirements?
Your Sales consultant will ask you for any requirements pertaining to your Health & Fitness during your booking process. A questionnaire may be required to be completed, which you will be advised.

What are the luggage requirements?
Each passenger is entitled to take one piece of luggage that does not exceed 160cm - length/height/width (63 inches), weight limit 20kgs (44 pounds). Additional fees may apply for additional luggage, and must be requested by time of final payment. Some safari / adventure tours may have further luggage restrictions where passengers need to pack down to a small soft duffle 10-15kg bag due to the smaller vehicles that are used whilst on tour, this includes Kimberley Wilderness Adventure, Outback Wilderness Adventures, Africa. Your Sales consultant can provide you with specific regulations.

Is tipping included on my APT tour?
Tipping is included for all APT operated tours. There are a few activities whereby tipping is not included such as Tailor Made Holidays, Africa & South America's City Stays & Extensions, and the Northern Lights Adventure in North America.
