Day 1 : Depart London, Arrive Calgary

Location: Calgary

Accommodation Name: Calgary, Marriott Downtown Hotel

Fly from London Heathrow to Calgary, where you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception this evening and meet with your fellow guests and Travelmarvel Tour Director.

Day 2 : Calgary, Banff

Location: Banff

Accommodation Name: Two Nights, Banff Park Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Journey to Banff National Park today and enjoy an Insider Experience along the way. On arrival in Banff, you will be taken on a tour of this picturesque town and its surrounds.

Day 3 : Banff

Location: Banff

Enjoy today at leisure to explore this charming alpine town at your own pace. If you’re after an adventure, then consider joining a heli-sightseeing trip for aerial views of this breathtaking region. Perhaps watch for local wildlife on an exhilarating Bow River float trip or set off on a Banff Experience tour (own expense).

Day 4 : Banff, Lake Louise

Location: Lake Louise

Accommodation Name: Banff National Park, Lake Louise Inn

Your destination today is Lake Louise. Along the way, if the weather permits, you will stop and take in the incredible views of Moraine Lake. This striking blue, glacier-fed lake offers the perfect snapshot of Canada’s breathtaking beauty. Later, continue on to Lake Louise, one of Canada’s must-see sights, known as the ‘Jewel of the Canadian Rockies’.

Day 5 : Lake Louise, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Jasper

Accommodation Name: Jasper, Mountain Park Lodges

Meals Included: Breakfast

Travel along the Icefields Parkway, considered the world’s most scenic highway. Stop at the Columbia Icefield for a thrilling Ice Explorer ride onto Athabasca Glacier. Continue on to Jasper National Park.

Day 6 : Jasper, Blue River, Thompson Valley

Accommodation Name: Thompson Valley, South Thompson Inn

Journey to Thompson Valley today while descending through the Canadian Rockies.

Day 7 : Thompson Valley, Vancouver

Accommodation Name: Two Nights, Vancouver, Sheraton Wall Centre or similar

Journey through the rugged Cariboo region on your way to Vancouver. Upon arrival, enjoy time at leisure to explore this beautiful cosmopolitan city.

Day 8 : Vancouver

Location: Vancouver

Discover Vancouver on a city sightseeing tour. Take in the city’s sleek waterfront and enjoy a visit to its oldest neighbourhood, Gastown. This afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. You may wish to choose a select experience, such as a picturesque Grouse Mountain gondola ride or a thrilling walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which hangs 70 metres above the Capilano River (own expense).

Day 9 : Vancouver, Whistler

Location: Whistler

Accommodation Name: Whistler, Aava Whistler Hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast

Head along the Sea to Sky Highway to beautiful Whistler. On arrival, perhaps try a select experience, such as a tree trek along a suspension bridge through ancient forest, or a zip trek through the trees. You may also like to take a gondola ride between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains (own expense).

Day 10 : Whistler, Georgia Strait, Victoria

Location: Victoria

Accommodation Name: Two Nights, Victoria, Double Tree by Hilton or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

Today it’s time to bid farewell to the resort village of Whistler and head for the coast. Take a ferry from Horseshoe Bay across the Georgia Strait. Arrive on Vancouver Island and continue south to the beautiful city of Victoria.

Day 11 : Victoria

Location: Victoria

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Enjoy a day at leisure or choose from one of the select experiences available. Perhaps take a whale-watching cruise aboard a Zodiac or luxury motor yacht. Alternatively, join a horse-drawn carriage tour through the city, visiting the James Bay district and the garden of Beacons Hill Park (own expense). This evening, enjoy an Insider Experience.

Day 12 : Victoria, Depart Vancouver

Location: Vancouver

Meals Included: Breakfast

After breakfast at your hotel, you are free to depart from Victoria at any time. Alternatively, transfer to Vancouver airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 13 : Arrive London

Location: London

Arrive back in London today.

  • What if I have special dietary requirements?

    Please ensure you advise APT during your booking process if you or any of your travelling companions have special dietary needs or requests. We aim to cater for all requests which are advised at the time of making your booking.

  • What documents will I receive before I travel?

    Travel Documents are sent to you 2-3 weeks prior to your departure. Certain information may be required to help finalise your booking.

  • What are Freedom of Choice Touring options?

    For APT tour programs, you may have the opportunity to select a Freedom of Choice Touring activity. These options are at no additional cost, and confirmed whilst on tour. The Tour Directors will guide you through all of the available options, and assist with booking these for those who are interested. Your brochure or our website will feature Freedom of Choice options for some tours - where applicable. Should time permit, passengers may be given the opportunity to experience a second option by purchasing that option.

  • Where do I join the tour?

    Most of our itineraries commence with a transfer from the airport, or a meet and greet on Day 1. There may be times recommended for you to fly, which your Sales consultant will provide you. If you choose to fly in a few days prior to your tour commencing and explore independently you will be advised of a time and location to meet the tour group. If booking pre tour accommodation with APT on an exclusive APT tour itinerary, you will receive both a transfer from the airport and on Day 1 of the tour to join your fellow guests. For Europe River cruises, the vessels are available for early boarding upon your arrival. Luggage can be stored at reception, and passengers have access to the main lounge. Cabin check in is available from 3pm.

  • How do I advise of Health/Mobility Requirements?

    Your Sales consultant will ask you for any requirements pertaining to your Health & Fitness during your booking process. A questionnaire may be required to be completed, which you will be advised.

  • How long has the tour company been trading?

    APT has been operating for over 95 years!

  • What are the luggage requirements?

    Each passenger is entitled to take one piece of luggage that does not exceed 160cm - length/height/width (63 inches), weight limit 20kgs (44 pounds). Additional fees may apply for additional luggage, and must be requested by time of final payment. Some safari / adventure tours may have further luggage restrictions where passengers need to pack down to a small soft duffle 10-15kg bag due to the smaller vehicles that are used whilst on tour, this includes Kimberley Wilderness Adventure, Outback Wilderness Adventures, Africa. Your Sales consultant can provide you with specific regulations.

  • Is tipping included on my APT tour?

    Tipping is included for all APT operated tours. There are a few activities whereby tipping is not included such as Tailor Made Holidays, Africa & South America's City Stays & Extensions, and the Northern Lights Adventure in North America.
