Day 1 : Arrival In St Ives

Location: St Ives

Meals Included: No Meals

Arrival in St Ives

Day 2 : St Ives To Zennor

Location: St Ives, Zennor

Meals Included: Breakfast

A dramatic introduction to the Cornish landscape today; beyond the narrow,
sheltered streets of St Ives the path soon leads out into one of the wildest
sections of the entire Southwest Coast Path. Rugged granite moors rise
inland, while the narrow strip of land between the windswept cliffs and the
hills is studded with tiny farming hamlets and stitched with stone walls
dating back to prehistoric times. The views are spectacular from the craggy
headlands, with buttresses of weathered stone dropping dramatically to an
often restless sea. In sheltered spots flowers find sustenance in the thin
soil, while myriad seabirds make their homes on the cliffs, facing the full
brunt of the Atlantic Ocean. Transfer back to St Ives at the end of your
walkng day.

Day 3 : Zennor To Pendeen

Location: Zennor, Pendeen

Meals Included: Breakfast

Transfer to Zenoor to start your walk. Todays route passes along rocky paths
and moorland fringes, through hard countryside littered with blocks of
granite, towards the Pendeen and St Just mining districts. The harsh
landscape maintains a beauty in its wildness, one that inspires countless
stories of piskies and giants (how else can you explain the lumps of granite
thrown across the land?).Sections of the path take you away from the sea edge
and there are grand views of the granite hills (carns) that back the coast.
Particularly impressive are the Carn Galvers and Watch Croft. Finally,
passing by beautiful Portherras beach, the coastal path winds past Pendeen
Watch lighthouse before reaching Pendeen where you are transferred back to St
Ives.

Day 4 : Pendeen To Sennen

Location: Pendeen, Sennen

Meals Included: Breakfast

Transfer to Pendeen. Along this exceptional stretch of coast, the natural
beauty competes with human history for your attention. Proud headlands are
crowned with Iron Age hill forts, towering cliffs are home to Bronze Age
burial chambers and at every turn are reminders are of Cornwall's mining
heritage. The end of the north coast is rugged and impressive, with high
cliffs cut by steep inlets and moorland hills rolling away in land. This is
the St Just mining district, perhaps the birth place of the Cornish tin
mining industry and a world leader in tin production in its heyday. Engine
houses perch in the most precarious of positions and the remains of stamping
mills and arsenic works are found in sheltered valleys. Moving on to the West
coast, the scenery remains grand and impressive. From the treacherous Brisons
reef to the golden sands of Sennen beach, the sea scape dominates. With
lovely sheltered valleys and a path that constantly rises and falls, one
minute you are at sea level and the next way up above, looking down on the
gulls as they circle below. From here you are transferred to Penzance where
you spend the next 4 nights.

Day 5 : Free Day In Penzance

Location: Penzance

Meals Included: Breakfast

Free day to explore the historic harbour town of Penzance. Discover the many
wonderful local granite stone buildings centred around the two central town
parks. Explore Chapel Street which runs from the town centre to the harbour
with an ecletic mix of buildings, many dating back to the 18th century and
before; there is even the Egyptian House which has colourful Egyptian styling
and sphinx like adornments. Penzance has a thriving artistic community in the
town which is reflected in the numbers of galleries to visit.

Day 6 : Sennen To Porthcurno

Location: Sennen, Porthcurno

Meals Included: Breakfast

Transfer to Sennen. A short walk packed full of incredible scenery today.
From the vaulted cliffs and sea arches of Lands' End to the outstanding pink
hued cliffs of Porthcurno Bay. Add to this crystal-clear water and a
profusion of wild flowers and the region's popularity is easily understood.
The coast path can be busy at either end of this walk but remains relatively
quiet in between. With Lands End and the Minack Theatre, it is a region that
draws many visitors but it doesn't take long to get away from the commotion.
With just over six miles to cover, it is an easy walk with plenty of time to
stop off and enjoy the incredible views before your transfer back to Penzance
from Porthcurno.

Day 7 : Porthcurno To Mousehole

Location: Porthcurno, Mousehole

Meals Included: Breakfast

A morning transfer to Porthcurno. Leaving behind the beaches and windswept
cliffs of the West coast, there is a significant change upon reaching the
more sheltered South coast. Numerous deep valleys here are filled with palms,
fuscia and gunnerera and even the highest cliff tops proudly display a good
selection of wildflowers. The rocky sea line between Lamorna and Mousehole is
lovely and the last section of open countryside until after Marazion.
Mousehole is a working fishing village every bit as picturesque as the post
cards suggest. Narrow streets run down to the tiny harbour where you can
enjoy the sea breeze before your transfer back to Penzance.

Very helpful and prompt service

06-Jan-2023

Very helpful and prompt service. I called to check for an already booked trip and once we sorted this, the agent was ready to help me with another booking as well. He actually waited for me to book my flight tickets, answered all my questions, informed me of all my options. Exodus is a tour company I am using regularly due to the quality of their trips, ease of booking and helpfulness of their customer service team

Stunning walking. Walking the Amalfi Coast

04-Nov-2021

This trip takes you through the most beautiful parts of the Mediterranean walking with a guide and also discovering the wonders of Pompeii and Vesuvius. The hotel had a nice feel as family run, spotless and comfortable rooms, we were well looked after for breakfasts and dinner each day, and the barmen fixed some mean cocktails for us.!

It's amazing what you can do in a week! Cycling the Dalmatian Coast.

08-Oct-2021

This holiday was extremely enjoyable. The itinerary is well planned and the route takes you to a variety of destinations. Not having been to Croatia before I didn't know there were so many beautiful small islands and I loved the ferry and catarmaran rides. The coastal route we took was dramatic and the World Heritage sites in Split and Dubrovnik very interesting and worth visiting. The Adriatic Sea was warm, blue and inviting, good for swimming even in October. The hotels we stayed in varied in size from medium to large. I particularly liked the one just outside Dubrovnik as I had a sea view. Tourists were plentiful in Split and Dubrovnik but in the other places we stayed there was an end of season feel and it was quiet on the roads and in the resorts. The food was good and our guide was always able to recommend a nice restaurant for our evening meal. The weather in October was good for cycling - not hot, partly cloudy most days and one day it rained!

Fabulous company and trip

06-Jan-2023

We went overland from Cape Town to Zimbabwe through Botswana and Namibia. What a fantastic trip. Our first time with Exodus although we have travelled extensively around the world. We would highly recommend this company for such a brilliant trip - we got everything and more all at a good price. Thanks to everyone involved. We are looking at our next trip!

I went cycling in Albania with exodus as my first holiday with them. Such a well organised and wonderful experience where I met multiple fellow travellers who have been advocates of them for many years. You can't argue with happy repeat customers and I'm planning my next adventure with them soon

I'v just come back from...

17-Jul-2022

I'v just come back from an amazing Wildlife & Wilderness trip in Botswana and I highly recommend Exodus Travels. Our guide Brian, was extremely knowledgeable on both the wildlife and history of Botswana and neighbouring countries. The other three staff, Abbis, Chief & Mr T, who accompanied us through out our 2 week trip, put in the hard work and made sure our camp was always prepared and that we we're well fed and looked after. The tour took us to some beautiful places and we saw some amazing wildlife, and on several occasions this was due to Brian's knowledge of the area and wildlife behaviour. Exodus have been very quick to respond to any queries I had, and the whole experience ran smoothly. I was also pleased to hear that during lockdown they provided staff with food packages 👍. I'd normally go on self organised trips, however, with this trip, the tour and guide Brian took us to places not possible otherwise and showed us things that we would'v missed out on. All of which were the highlights of the tour.

17-May-2023

I've done 8 trips in the last 14 years with Exodus, and have been rewarded with a 10% discount on all future bookings. I feel very confident that I'll receive pleasant, efficient service, and have the unusual holiday experience that I'm looking for each time. I've trekked to the top of snow-capped peaks, wild-camped in the desert, seen amazing spectacles of nature, visited 4 capital cities in a week, and learned about local culture and experienced local hospitality in a way that I simply wouldn't on a conventional holiday. The quality of the accommodation and guides can vary, but this is mainly down to cultural differences and things that Exodus can't control. I've only ever complained once, my complaint was taken seriously, and I was sent a discount voucher - you can't say fairer than that. I remain a loyal customer.

Food came quickly. Staff very friendly and polite . However the chef or person preparing the food did not seem to read the menu! If it says a meal should come with vegetables, you should not have to ask for them. They served shepherds pie with garlic bread! The munchies ice cream sundae said it should come in a glass with a flake but came in a little bowl with just a few munchies! When asking the staff were happy to replace and correct but customer should get what they order and what menu says first time round!!

If you like to be mistreated Exodus is perfect for you. If you enjoy terrible choices for hotels and pseudo restaurants Exodus is perfect for you. Careless about their clients and loveless about their propositions. Exodus has been a dissatisfaction and disappointment about every dealing i and my group have had with him. Especially a man called Simone who just cares about the money he can get from you couldn’t care less about service.
