About this trip
Have one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences on this small group tour to Tanzania. Your journey will begin in Arusha, the capital of Tanzanias Northern Safari Circuit and a fascinating city with a bustling pace of life and plenty of captivating attractions. Catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain peak in Africa standing at 5,895 meters tall, before you board your safari vehicle and pass through the traditional villages and beautiful plantations of the Masai Steppe. From there head towards Tarangire National Park where you will head on amazing game drives as you explore the land that is home to the largest concentration of elephants in the country. Next visit is Masai village, see the beauty of the African sunset, and enjoy a cocktail on Sunset Hill as you take in the views of Lake Manyara. Later travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest dry caldera of its kind in the world. Search for wildlife in this fascinating destination before you visit Serengeti National Park, where you will search for the Big Five in one of the most famous parks in Africa, here the Great Migration takes place every year. Your journey will end in Arusha, where your safari tour of Tanzania will come to an end!

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Ariport (Jro) Arrival – Arusha (-/-/D)
Welcome to Tanzania! Once you have arrived at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the City Centre of Arusha. Spend the night in the Arusha Serena Hotel, situated on the shores of Lake Duluti. Enjoy the comfort of staying in a cozy cottage-style room with the convenience of being in the Gateway of the Northern Safari Circuit. You can take advantage of the opportunities for walking, mountain biking, and canoeing available at the hotel (at your own cost)!

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park (B/L/D)
Spend the morning at leisure and with safari briefing followed by a lunch. In the afternoon, board your safari vehicle and depart Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni continue to Tarangire National Park Gate to clear formalities. Enter the park and begin exploring and game viewing as you continue to your lodge arriving for dinner.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will board your safari vehicle for game viewing within the park in search of its large lion prides and elephant herds. Drive through the baobab tree lined park and explore the Silale swamp. Later return to your lodge for lunch. By the afternoon, drive north through the park and to the town of Makuyuni where you continue the journey through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)
Today, enjoy breakfast followed by a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch. Post lunch drive to Ngorongoro Crater, which is commonly referred to as the worlds largest natural wildlife arena. A UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve; the Ngorongoro Crater is the worlds largest intact volcanic caldera. The craters of the Ngorongoro are preserved entirely for wildlife, while the rest of the Conservation Area is shared by wildlife, people, and livestock. Due to its great size and rich diversity, the floor of the crater is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forests, swamps, lakes, and springs to open grasslands and sandy dunes

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)
A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the Worlds largest natural wildlife arena. After an early breakfast, you drive to the crater entry gate and descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the Worlds largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. A picnic lunch box is served near a pond populated with hippos. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)
Today, enjoy breakfast followed by exhilarating game viewing en route through Serengeti National Park. Grab your camera to expand your gallery of breathtaking images as the day unfolds and head towards the camp for lunch. You have an afternoon to enjoy the camps facilities. In the evening, enjoy your dinner under the stars.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)
Following breakfast, you have a full day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park with a bush lunch. Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has in recent times been declared a Worldwide Wonder. This fascinating site is undoubtedly one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Serengeti National Park is located approximately 320 kilometers to the northwest of Arusha, sitting in a high plateau between the Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park almost stretches to Lake Victoria to the west, covering a total area of 14,763 square kilometers. Appropriately named the “endless plains” by the Maasai people, you will discover the immensity of the Serengeti as you enter the southeastern plains of the park. In the evening, you return to the camp for dinner.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)
Waking up with the animals of the Serengeti, today you have another full day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park with a picnic hamper lunch. Grab your camera to snap up striking images as the day unfolds; lions relaxing after the morning hunt, elephants guarding their young and herds of wildebeest grazing alongside zebra. You then head to a vantage point to enjoy a spectacular African sunset with drinks and canapes. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening under the stars of the Serengeti Plains.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)
After breakfast, head south east past Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu Village. Through the highlands and the Karatu district, youll encounter with the scenic views of wheat plains and coffee plantations here before journeying down the spectacular escarpment turning south on to the main road to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations.. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be provided lunch and transferred to the Kilimanjaro Airport to board your international departure flight home.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Jro Airport – Usa/Canada (B/L/-)
Celebrate a glorious sunrise and listen to the sounds of the bush awakening as you savor your last day in Tanzania. Spend your morning at leisure, followed by a lunch at Arusha Coffee. Then you will transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you may relax in a day room. After you will be transferred to the international airport for your flight back home.

If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?
You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
