Day 1: Nairobi Arrival (-/-/D)

Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed and met by a representative and chauffeured to your hotel in Nairobi: The Hemingways Nairobi. Kenyas capital and the tech hub of Africa, with a national park spread beneath its skyscrapers, Nairobi is unique. Well whisk you away from the hubbub to Hemingways, a sumptuous haven of calm, built on an old coffee plantation at the foot of the Ngong Hills. Its ideally placed for exploring – perhaps to feed the inmates at the Giraffe Centre, meet orphaned elephants at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust or visit the Karen Blixen Museum. Or you might simply feel like relaxing on site, where you can wander the bird-filled gardens, dip in the pool, take afternoon tea on the terrace or sip cocktails in the Hemingways bar.

Overnight in Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi — Amboseli National Park (B/L/D)

Following breakfast and your safari briefing, you depart to Nairobis Wilson Airport. Fly by the exclusive Sky Safari aeroplane to Amboseli National Park. You are met on arrival by the camps vehicle and provided a shared game drive en route to the camp arriving for lunch. After some time to enjoy the camps facilities, you have a shared afternoon game drive. Amboseli is Africa at its most iconic. This vastness of open plains, swampland, thorn bush and fever trees unfurl below snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the worlds highest freestanding peak and an unrivalled safari backdrop. And what a safari: part of a two-million-acre ecosystem, crossing from Kenya into Tanzania, Amboseli is one of the best wildlife-viewing locations around. Most notable are its 100-strong herds of elephants – including big old tuskers – but theres an abundance of other species too, from buffalo and hyena to lion and cheetah as well as over 600 types of birds. Then return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Overnight in Amboseli

Day 3: Amboseli National Park (B/L/D)

Start the day with a shared early morning game drive followed by a bush breakfast.  Continue game viewing arriving at the camp at midday. Following lunch and time to enjoy the camps facilities, you have the choice of a guided bush walk or shared afternoon game drive returning to the camp. Then head to a lookout point for a scenic sundowner. You have a private dinner at the camp and then overnight.

Overnight in Amboseli

Day 4: Amboseli – Loisaba Conservancy, Laikipia (B/L/D)

Enjoy one more early morning game drive, followed by a breakfast at the lodge before you check out of your accommodation and transfer to the Amboseli Airstrip. Board your aircraft and see the scenery from above as you make your way to Loisaba Conservancy. Upon landing, following your VIP welcome and briefing about the conservancy, you game view en route to the camp. Great game, good looks, high adventure, an exclusive feel, and a ground-breaking attitude to conservation make the Loisaba Conservancy one of the most exciting destinations in Kenya.

Overnight in Loisaba Conservancy

Day 5: Loisaba Conservancy, Laikipia (B/L/D)

Early morning bush walk with traditional Samburu guides.  You return to the camp for breakfast and then have a choice of relaxing or heading out on a shared game drive.  Following lunch at the camp, you can take an afternoon shared game drive, go fishing, or visit the anti-poaching sniffer dog team. Sundowners are enjoyed in the bush followed by dinner under the stars at the camp.

Overnight in Loisaba Conservancy

Day 6: Loisaba Conservancy, Laikipia (B/L/D)

Your sharing morning options include a game drive, horse or camelback exploration, or bush running/trekking. This is followed by a bush breakfast. Then return to the camp for time to relax and enjoy as spa treatment. Shared afternoon game drive with dinner at the camp and overnight under the stars in your star bed. Those not wishing to spend the night under the stars remain at Loisaba Tented Camp.

Overnight in Loisaba Conservancy

Day 7: Loisaba Conservancy - Masai Mara Reserve (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the camp, you game view en route to Loisaba airstrip. Fly by Sky Safari aircraft to Masai Mara National Reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant than the magnificent Masai Mara. Creatures galore roam these sweeping, acacia-dotted plains.  And while the seasonal migration of two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle crossing from the Serengeti is one of Mother Natures greatest spectacles, the profusion of wildlife here – from 450 species of bird to the Big Five – makes it one of the best safari spots year-round. You are met on arrival by the camps vehicle and provided a shared game drive en route to the camp arriving for lunch. After some time to enjoy the camps facilities, you have a shared afternoon game drive ending with sundowners in the bush. Then return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Overnight in Masai Mara

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve (B/L/D)

Enjoy a filling and delicious breakfast before you head out for a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara is known for its astounding numbers of wildlife, home to both resident and transient populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and elephants (to name a few). These vast and fertile plains are dense with game for you to spot. Learn about the wildlife with your local and experienced guides and enjoy a picnic-style lunch during your game drive. You will also stop at an authentic Masai Village to interact with, meet, and learn about the local customs and culture of this incredible tribe. The Masai are proud, semi-nomadic, cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture to explore. The Masai are an ever-present reminder of the history and cultural heritage of this sublime and enigmatic landscape and will surely leave you with a lasting impression. Then return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Overnight in Masai Mara

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve (B/L/D)

You have an early start with a shared game drive arriving at your secluded bush breakfast. You then game view as you return to the camp for time at leisure and lunch. In the afternoon, you have your final shared game drive followed by sundowners in the bush. You enjoy a farewell dinner under the stars and overnight at the camp.

Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Usa/Canada (B/-/-)

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your Sky Safari flight back to Nairobis Wilson Airport. You are met on arrival and transfer to Hemingways Nairobi where you have use of a day room. You then transfer to Nairobis Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight back to home.

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

13-Nov-2023

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

04-Jan-2024

Exploring Bogota was fantastic - a lively city with so much to see. The Gold Museum was a highlight, taking us on a journey through centuries of history. We spent hours there, fascinated by the detailed exhibits showcasing the rich culture. After Bogota, we flew to St. Andres, a Caribbean paradise. Despite some rain during the 'rainy season,' the island's charm and our packed sightseeing schedule made every moment unforgettable. Activities like mangrove kayaking, snorkeling, and island hopping showcased St. Andres' natural beauty. WE even rescued a sick blue heron during our tour and transferred it to rescue services. The food was another standout. Local cuisine was not only delicious but also budget-friendly, offering a unique blend of flavors. I love seafood especially seviche, and I was trully impress by quality and diversity. But what really made our trip special was the people. Friendliness was everywhere, whether chatting with locals or getting tips on hidden gems. The genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to an already amazing journey. Bogota and St. Andres left a lasting impression, going beyond sightseeing to truly experience the heart and soul of these incredible destinations. Big thank you to Indus team, who put together this trip for me. I am looking forward to exploring other South American countries with Indus.

11-Jul-2023

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!
