Uncover the beauty and mystery of two of Asias finest travel destinations with this incredible tour of Nepal and Bhutan. You will be guided through the serene and spiritual lands of two of the most breathtaking and mysterious countries on the planet. You will learn about the rich history, unique cultural heritage, and local lifestyle in each of these destinations. Begin your tour in Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital known as the City of Temples and the Gateway to the Himalayas. Wander through the bustling bazaars and visit the Swayambhunath Temple to see the breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley. Continue your tour to Chitwan National Park where you will go on a safari adventure in search of Great Asian One-Horned Rhinoceroses, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Deer, Monkeys, Wild Boars, and many species of birds. From there you will drive to Pokhara and discover the breathtaking valley. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Phewa Lake before you head back to Kathmandu to catch your flight to Paro as you make your way into Bhutan. From there you will travel to Thimphu, the Bhutanese capital where you will discover magnificent mountain ranges and significant spiritual sites. See the Buddha Dordenma Statue, the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Asia, discover the Trashichho Dzong, the largest religious building in Thimphu, and hike up the Taktsang Monastery in Paro — also known as The Tiger's Nest. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and visit the Drukgyal Dzong in this fascinating city, where your tour of Nepal and Bhutan will end!

Day 1: Kathmandu (Arrival)
Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon arrival at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu – Patan – Kathmandu (B/-/-)
After breakfast, drive to the center to explore the medieval city of Kathmandu where you will wander through the bustling narrow streets and discover the rich culture of the Newari people. You will visit the vegetable and spice market in Ason and see many courtyards that form the base for living in Kathmandu. Continue your tour through the bustling bazaars and visit the Kumari Temple which houses the living Goddess. From there, marvel over the exterior of the Taleju Temple and visit Kal Bhairab. In the afternoon, step into the temple of Swayambhunath — a stupa on top of a hill — for a look over the Kathmandu Valley. Later, you will continue to Patan city to visit the Panta Durbar Square, one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Chitwan (B/L/D)
After breakfast, continue your tour to Chitwan National Park following the Trishuli River. On a clear day, you will be able to see Manaslu, Buddha Himal, Ganesh Himal, and the Annapurna Range. Arrive in time to enjoy lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, head on a safari adventure that will take you through the dense forest and grasslands in search of the Great Asian One-Horned Rhinoceros, along with Leopards, Sloth Bears, Deer, Monkeys, Wild Boar, and 460 different species of birds. The Royal Bengal Tiger, being territorial and nocturnal in behavior, will normally not appear during the day — but sometimes your luck can do wonders and you may enjoy an unforgettable sight of the king of the forest.

Day 4: Chitwan (B/L/D)
In the morning you will head on a canoe trip to discover the aquatic life of Chitwan National Park. You will get the opportunity to see rare aquatic birds and perhaps other species of wildlife taking a drink on the banks of the river. At the end of your canoe ride, you will be picked up by the riverside and transferred back to your hotel — or you may explore the park on foot in search of wildlife. This will be quite an adventurous trip! From there you will walk back to camp for lunch. After lunch, continue your tour overland to Pokhara. The Pokhara Valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. Pollution-free and less crowded, Pokhara has a lot to offer visitors!

Day 5: Chitwan – Pokhra (B/-/-)
Continue your tour overland to Pokhara. The Pokhara Valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. Pollution-free and less crowded, Pokhara has a lot to offer visitors! Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Phewa Lake.

Day 6: Pokhra – Kathmandu (B/-/-)
This morning will start a bit earlier for your journey to the Sarangkot viewpoint. Enjoy the unforgettable sunrise over the mountain peaks. Rest at one of the cafes atop the mountain, where you can see the breathtaking sunrise. From there you will drive back to Kathmandu — enjoy the rest of the day to relax at the hotel or spend time exploring the narrow streets of Kathmandu.

Day 7: Kathmandu – Paro (Flight) – Thimphu (B/-/-)
Today you will be transferred back to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport to board your flight to Paro. Upon arrival, you will transfer to Thimphu. Once you arrive in Thimphu, you will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to the capital. See Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge on your way. After you check in to your hotel, you will visit the breathtaking National Memorial Chorten built in honor of the third king and see the Buddha Dordenma Statue where Asia's biggest bronze Buddha statue lies. Takin Sanctuary will show you the National Animal Takin which only can be found in Bhutan. Continue to the Zilukha Nunnery and Thimphu Dzong (Trashichho Dzong), the largest religious building in Thimphu and the seat of the central administrative centre (open after 5 PM, Monday to Friday).

Day 8: Thimphu – Paro (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the Folk Heritage Museum to discover the rural life of the Bhutanese and visit the National Painting School. There, you will see how the incredible traditional sculptures and paintings are made. Next, continue to the Bhutan Post Office Headquarters where you can make stamps with your own photos (USD 4 for 12 stamps, at your expense). After lunch, drive back to Paro and visit a farmhouse, to meet with local people. Get a glimpse into their lifestyle — you may also try some homemade wine!Â
Tips: It is highly suggested to store some photos beforehand in your SD card or USB device for printing stamps — or else you may need to line up for taking photos.

Total travel distance: 55 km. (1.5-hours)
Day 9: Paro – Tiger\'S Nest – Paro (B/L/D)
In the morning, hike up to the Taktsang Monastery (Tigers Nest) built on the rocky cliff. Visit this sacred monastery and take in the breathtaking views of the Paro Valley. Have a coffee break on the way up and lunch on the way down in a cafeteria. From there, visit the Drukgyal Dzong, the ruined fort built in the memory of the victory over the Tibetan invasions. Your evening will end with a walk through the main street of Paro.Â

Please note:
The hike to Tiger's Nest is considered moderate to challenging, but you should be able to complete it if you have an ordinary level of fitness. Depending on your speed, the hike takes between 3 to 5 hours. Some parts are quite steep so go slow and be sure of your footing – especially when you make the return trip downhill which can be quite slippery.
Day 10: Paro (Departure) (B/-/-)
Today you will say goodbye to Bhutan. After breakfast, we will escort you to the airport for your onward flight home.

If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?
You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
