  • : Walk in the footsteps of Bozeman’s founders on its historic Main Street as you appreciate its place in the history of the West. Once a gathering place for the local indigenous peoples’ tribes, Bozeman also served a vital role during the 1860s gold rush. Hear stories of important figures including John Bozeman, Daniel Rouse, Nelson Story and architect Fred Willson. From wooden shacks to brick beauties, the unique architecture represents different phases of Bozeman’s growth.

  • : Delve into cultural and natural history at the Museum of the Rockies (MOR). Exploring their rotating and permanent exhibits -- including Landforms/Lifeforms and Dinosaurs Under the Big Sky, Welcome to Yellowstone Country, Enduring Peoples and the Paugh History Hall -- experience science, art, culture and history. Don’t miss their collection of dinosaur fossils, including the fully mounted Montana Trex skeletons.

  • : Enjoy a creative lunch with a view at the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s member’s only lounge. Savor inventive dishes made with seasonal, sustainable and local ingredients presented in a creative way overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Try their salad, elk Bolognese lasagna or seasonal vegetarian quiche and lemon posset as dessert.

  • Yellowstone National Park: The world’s first National Park, Yellowstone spans 2,219,789 acres and even has its own Grand Canyon. The park is home to half of the world’s hydrothermal features, more than 10,000, of which over 300 are geysers. Yellowstone is also a wildlife paradise. Some 1,700 species of plants and 400 species of birds, fish and mammals live in the park, including bison, wolves, bears, elk and moose.

  • Jackson: Enjoy a creative lunch with a view at the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s member’s only lounge. Savor inventive dishes made with seasonal, sustainable and local ingredients presented in a creative way overlooking the National Elk Refuge.   • Yellowstone National Park: One of the major geyser basins in Yellowstone, the Mammoth Hot Springs Area is visually unique from the other thermal features in the park. Here, hot water rises through the limestone, dissolving large quantities of rock and leaving a chalky mineral deposit in the surface. Find yourself by the bubbling waters, whose constant movement means the springs are changing all the time.

Day 1: Welcome To Bozeman

Views of the magnificent Rocky Mountain welcome to you Bozeman. Get to know this charming town with an easy stroll along Main Street. In the evening, join your Travel Director for a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Enjoy Bozeman

Let your curiosity be your guide as you explore Bozeman with Insight Choice. Opt to join a guided walking tour of Bozeman’s historic Main Street, once a gathering place for the local indigenous people and an important location in the 1860s gold rush. Enjoy the stories of the colorful characters who helped mold the look and shape of the town as you stroll past historic buildings representing different phases of Bozeman’s growth. Or, visit the Museum of the Rockies (MOR), a world-class cultural and natural history museum renowned for displaying an extensive collection of dinosaur fossils. Get up close to the fully mounted Montana Trex skeleton and explore exhibits including Welcome to Yellowstone Country, Enduring Peoples and the Paugh History Hall.

Day 3: Hello Yellowstone!

Location: Bozeman, West Yellowstone, Norris Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park

Depart Bozeman in the morning and enter the vast wonderland of Yellowstone National Park. The world’s first National Park, Yellowstone spans over 2.2 million acres and is full of natural wonders, geothermal phenomena and diverse, free-roaming wildlife. Spend the afternoon sightseeing and wildlife spotting in Yellowstone with your Travel Director, looking out for wolves, bears, elk and moose. In the late afternoon, join local artist John Potter for an insightful MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience learning about the natural environment in a whole new way. Potter reveals the park's history, culture and wildlife through his deep artistic and spiritual connection to the land based on the traditions of his Anishinaabe (Ojibwe/Chippewa) ancestors.

Day 4: Hot Springs And Hiking In Yellowstone Relaxed Start

Location: Yellowstone National Park, Mammoth, Yellowstone National Park

One of the major geyser basins in Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs terraces invites you to put boots to ground on a gentle hike. The 2.2-mile Mammoth Terraces Trail passes many of the most beautiful and historic hot spring terraces of the park and snakes up to a sweeping outlook. This afternoon, explore Mammoth Hot Springs Historic District at your leisure. Get up close and personal with Fort Yellowstone where 35 structures remain from the 1890's and early 1900's. View the Mail Carrier's Cabin, the only 1800s log structure still standing in Mammoth Hot Springs from the time when mail carriers delivered the mail from railroad distribution points to remote post offices. After this step back in time, your Travel Director reveals more of Yellowstone National Park.

Day 5: Yellowstone's Grand Canyon

Embark on an insightful discovery of Yellowstone National Park with your own private local guide. Join Adam Brubaker of Tied to Nature for a tour of Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Hayden Valley and Lake Yellowstone. At the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River - formed by erosion as Yellowstone River - view dramatic colors and shapes as puffs of steam rise from the canyon walls. Making your way along Hayden Valley, watch for herds of bison, elk and the occasional grizzly bear. Lastly, bask in the beauty of Yellowstone Lake, the largest high elevation lake in North America. After learning about the creation of the park’s waterfalls, canyon, wildlife, and human and geological history, enjoy sightseeing in the park with your Travel Director.

Day 6: Yellowstone's Famous Old Faithful

Location: Yellowstone National Park, Grand Prismatic Spring, Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone National Park

Set off this morning with a hike on Midway Geyser Loop, strolling along the boardwalks as steam rises from the distant Grand Prismatic Spring -- Yellowstone's largest hot spring -- and past Turquoise Pool and Opal Pool. Your Travel Director leads the way to Old Faithful showcasing other highlights of the park along the way. After lunch, take your time exploring the many impressive thermal features around Old Faithful, one of Yellowstone’s most famous Geysers. From rising steam to colorful pools and ponds, take your pick of a variety of hikes from less than a mile to 3.5 miles.

Day 7: Mountain Peaks And The Wild West - Departures

Location: Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Conclude your journey in Grand Teton National Park to marvel at the stunning mountain peaks as your Travel Director reveals all the best vistas in this wildlife haven. Cap off your adventure with a celebration lunch in the private, members only lounge of the museum. In the late afternoon, bid farewell to the national parks to transfer to Jackson Hole Airport arriving at 2:00 PM. Please note this time when booking flights or extend your stay in Jackson.

Scenic Iceland and the Northern Lights

The number is our group was small which meant we got to know each other. Our tour guide, Laura Spiers, was excellent as was our driver. The food was good, and of course everything we saw in Iceland was beautiful and educational.

The trip was fantastic. Everything was well planned and exceeded my expectations. All insight personal were courteous helpful and professional Ann Manual and Kevin were a topnotch team There was attention to every detail and at all times felt safe and always a personal touch to the trip. The motor coach was clean and roomy and there was multiple wipe downs during the day All hotels were top notch and all staff at the hotels and restaurants were helpful and courteous I would recommend this trip as it gave you a fantastic view of the natural wonders of the the West.
