Itinerary
Day One – Travel By Eurostar To Holland And Canal Cruise
Board the Eurostar in London St Pancras International and enjoy an easy four-hour journey to Amsterdam Central Station. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your tour manager and be transferred to the heart of the colourful Dutch capital. Enjoy an included canal cruise, and then you’ll have free time in this exciting city of canals and cobblestones, bars, coffee shops, cafés and world-class museums. In the early evening, continue to central Rotterdam and your hotel.
An included canal cruise – one of the best ways to see the sights – will be a highlight of the afternoon’s visit.
Day Two – Included Visit To Keukenhof
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll board the coach to begin the journey to the gardens at Keukenhof. Here, some seven million flowers carpet the ground in a breathtaking horticultural display that attracts visitors from around the world each year. Wander the pathways that meander through this floral paradise, perhaps stopping in one of the gardens’ restaurants and cafés for lunch. You can even take an optional canal boat ride (payable locally) along the waterways that thread their way through the stunning gardens before returning to your hotel for dinner this evening.
Day Three – Included Visit To Zuider Zee
The delightful villages of Holland's windmill-dotted landscape and the reclaimed Zuider Zee form the background to this morning’s tour. Stroll the pretty streets of the historic fishing village of Volendam – once trodden by the likes of Picasso and Renoir – and catch a glimpse of Dutch life through the ages in its preserved traditional houses. You’ll also enjoy behind-the-scenes insights into two of Holland’s most traditional crafts. In Zaandam, observe the famous windmills and a shoemaking demonstration, and then stop off in Edam to sample its famous cheese.
Later this afternoon you’ll return to your hotel to relax, freshen up and have dinner in the surrounding area.
Day 4 : Included Visit To The Hague And Return To London
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll depart your hotel and travel a short distance to The Hague, a northern coastal city and the country’s administrative and political centre. As it’s home to an assortment of historical buildings and museums, as well as a charming old town and beautiful beaches, there’s no shortage of things to see and do.
Later in the day, you’ll return to Rotterdam’s Centraal Station to catch the evening Eurostar back to London (the journey time is around three hours and 20 minutes).
