Tour Overview
With extraordinary rail routes (picture tunnels through snow-covered mountains and bridges over steep-sided valleys), Switzerland is made for memorable train travel. From our base in Davos, join us on this rail tour of Switzerland as we take two of its most iconic ‘express’ journeys. Board the Bernina Express to climb the vertiginous 2,253m Bernina Pass and descend the incredible 110m-long spiral viaduct at Brusio. Then marvel at the astonishing Alpine views from the gratifyingly slow-paced Glacier Express, and swap rails for water as we cruise scenic Lake Constance.

Day 1 : Uk - Zurich - Davos
Our VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Zurich. On arrival, we transfer to the high Swiss Alps and the resort of Davos, where we check in to our hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink, meet your fellow travellers and take dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 : Davos
Enjoy a guided morning walking tour of Davos to introduce you to Europe’s highest city. Davos is a year-round destination. In the summer, enjoy free access or discounted prices on gondolas, cable cars and trains, providing access to the mountain trails and amazing views. Many of these mountain cable cars end at mountain restaurants offering amazing views for lunch; and there are countless well-marked hiking trails close to town. Your afternoon is at leisure.

Day 5 : Andermatt
We join the famous Glacier Express train for a breathtaking journey through the high Alps, to the traditional Swiss resort of Andermatt. The ‘slowest express train in the world’ takes you through the heart of Switzerland, with stunning views of the impressive Alpine landscape, from the depths of the Rhine Gorge up to the 2033-metre high Oberalp Pass. For more than 80 years, the Glacier Express has borne witness to some of the proudest pioneering feats of Alpine railway engineering, including no fewer than 91 tunnels and 291 bridges.
